The superannuation industry has begun work to care for their Indigenous customers by signing up to Reconciliation Actions Plans. Today the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) launched their first Reconciliation Action Plan. First Nations Foundation is their charity partner for 2016/17.
FNF Chairperson Ian Hamm (left) was present for the launch together with Eva Scheerlinck (AIST), Tom Garcia (CEO-AIST) and Amanda Young (CEO-FNF). FNF is proud to be working with such a progressive peak body which is leading the sector towards a focus on Indigenous Australians. AIST has been running the Indigenous Superannuation Working Group, held the Indigenous Superannuation Summit in 2015 and organising the 4 November 2016 Summit in Melbourne and are the principal sponsors of the Big Super Day Out events held by FNF. Congratulations AIST!!
RAPs are the tried and true corporate model to increase Indigenous inclusion in the financial services sector, having been used by banks for over 10 years and hundreds of other corporates.
