It was an honour for First Nations Foundation to join with our lawyers Arnold Bloch Leibler to talk to Cbus Super and AIST about Reconciliation during Reconciliation Week 2017.
Bridgid Cowling, Senior Associate at ABL, inspired the room with the depth of commitment from her law firm, which believes pro bono work for First Nations people is in their DNA, not a "feel good" moment. They are deeply committed to achieving real gains for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and for the past 25 years had worked in native title and were a key player in the creation of First Nations Foundation. Bridgid's personal passion is to be the best lawyer she can be for her Indigenous clients. At First Nations Foundation we can confirm she certainly represents our interests and is a critical part of our Foundation.
FNF CEO Amanda Young shared how reconciliation is from the heart and encouraged the superannuation industry to be creative in how it goes about embracing First Nations people until they feel a cherished and vital part of Australian society.
Thank you to AIST and Cbus Super for the wonderful event and Happy Reconciliation Week 2017!!
