          Heather Saunders

          Heather is currently on secondment from the Brotherhood of St Laurence to assist in the expansion of the My Moola program into 3 new communities around Australia. 

          For the past 3 years Heather has been developing and delivering financial literacy and capability programs, primarily MoneyMinded to a broad range of community and cultural groups, including facilitator training for community workers. Prior to this, Heather worked for the Salvation Army’s Asia-Pacific Regional Facilitation Team focused on developing the capacity of local community members as leaders of change.

          With a background in commerce, Heather is passionate about advocating for change within the financial system to reduce the barriers which prevent people accessing and understanding financial products that are both safe and affordable.

          Martha has recently joined FNF to support both the expansion of the My Moola program and other FNF activities, such as our commitment to the Indigenous Financial Services Network.

          For the past 2 years, Martha has worked with Reconciliation Australia in Canberra, in a range of roles from Community Relations Assistant, to Policy & Public Affairs Assistant, most recently providing advice to the corporate sector as a Reconciliation Action Plan Advisor.

          Having completed an international development degree, Martha has a keen interest in community development principles and a strengths-based approach to promoting financial inclusion for Indigenous Australians.
